Biography



     Founder of Executive Decision Coaching, Rose Woodruff combines coaching expertise and corporate leadership experience to help executives, managers, and business owners maximize their potential.  With her passion for business, analytical mind, and honed coaching skills, Rose helps her clients explore and identify the things they need most to increase their value to their organizations in sustainable ways.  She is also a passionate speaker, skilled facilitator and engaging trainer.

 

     Rose facilitates two monthly meetings for the Bowie Business Start-up and Support Meetup Group (Bowie Business Group), which she started in 2006 to help budding entrepreneurs find the courage to start and grow their businesses. Today, the Bowie Business Group has over 650 members, comprised of diverse business owners and professionals. She facilitates the Bowie Network Referral Group’s weekly meetings.

 

     Rose’s passion for assessments like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) is not only in helping people learn about themselves, but in helping people learn how to collaborate and capitalize on one another’s differences to create synergy. She sees diversity as our greatest strength and helps others embrace it as a powerful resource. Rose has presented for the Bowie Chamber of Commerce, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and at the prestigious Capital Coaches Conference for the Metro DC International Coach Federation Chapter.


     In 1993, having completed her BA in Business Management from the University of Maryland, Rose helped launch US Net, Incorporated, an Internet service provider (ISP). US Net’s was purchased by a national company in 1998.  Rose then incorporated her business acumen and ability to nurture success in others into executive and team coaching.

 

     In April 2007, Rose earned her Certified Professional Co-Active Coach designation from the largest and most prestigious international coaching school, CTI. In an effort to bring more tools to her clients, Rose earned her qualification to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI).  To expand the services she offers her clients, she studied Organizational and Relationship Systems Coaching® (ORSC).  Rose is zealous about helping individuals and teams learn more about themselves, determine what they want to accomplish, and  identify ways to accomplish it.


     Rose has served on numerous non-profit Boards and held many leadership positions.  She currently serves as a Board  Member of Shina, Inc., anon-profit organization helping women, children, and youth in Tanzania and the Metropolitan Washington area and is President of Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. She serves businesses by being a committee member of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce Business Development Committee. In 2010 she served as the Co-Chair of the Metro DC ICF (International Coach Federation) 2010 Capital Coaches Conference Vendors and Sponsors Subcommittee. Rose has volunteered with the Metro DC ICF Conflict Coaching Pilot Program and the Anne Arundel Leadership Development Institute to provide coaching to their constituents. She has served on the Boards of the Adult Health and Development Program at the University of Maryland, the ACLU of the National Capital Area, and Prince George’s County ACLU.
